Overview

Margaret focuses her practice on onshore and offshore oil, gas, and energy resource matters, representing clients in litigation, arbitration, regulatory proceedings, and administrative appeals.

As part of her litigation and arbitration practice, Margaret advises operators and producers in disputes involving oil and gas leases, joint operating agreements, purchase and sale agreements, production handling agreements, and decommissioning obligations. She is experienced in all phases of energy resource development, from exploration and production through transportation.

As a member of Liskow’s Energy – Regulatory Practice Group, Margaret advises traditional and renewable energy clients on navigating the complex statutory and regulatory framework governing federal offshore energy development. Margaret has worked on a number of matters before U.S. Department of the Interior subagencies and on administrative appeals of agency orders to the Interior Board of Land Appeals.

By combining deep industry insight with practical litigation and regulatory experience, Margaret provides comprehensive counsel to help clients mitigate risk and advance their business objectives in the evolving energy sector.

Prior to joining Liskow, Margaret practiced at an oil and gas boutique law firm, where she authored drilling, supplemental, and limited acquisition title opinions for clients conducting oil and gas operations. During law school, she served as Editor-in-Chief of the American University Law Review and was honored with the Outstanding Graduate Award upon graduation.
