Overview
Jana Grauberger is an energy lawyer with more than 25 years of experience advising clients on oil and gas and other energy matters. She represents traditional energy and renewables clients in navigating the complex statutory and regulatory framework applicable to federal offshore energy development, including matters before U.S. Department of Interior subagencies BOEM, BSEE, and ONRR, and has significant experience handling administrative appeals of agency orders to the Interior Board of Land Appeals (IBLA). Jana drafts and negotiates purchase and sale agreements, participation agreements, joint operating agreements, production handling agreements, gathering agreements, connection agreements, transportation agreements, and other agreements related to upstream and midstream operations. Her practice also includes transactions and due diligence involving federal offshore leases and assets, as well as litigation and arbitration of offshore disputes—such as those arising from joint operating agreements, production handling agreements, and decommissioning obligations—demonstrating her strong track record supporting clients through the full asset lifecycle, from development through dismantlement.
