“It’s no secret that lawsuits can be nerve-racking for clients. That’s where my experience in handling complex, high-stakes litigation becomes an asset. I am able to guide clients each step of the way, from the filing of the lawsuit to presenting their case to a jury. And when my experience is combined with my ability to connect with people from all walks of life, superior results follow.”

Overview

John Troutman is a litigator who helps energy and commercial clients with the defense of complex claims.  John has experience representing clients in a wide variety of legal matters ranging from construction disputes to large scale legacy litigation; class actions to derivative actions; products liability to professional liability; and more.  In recent legacy cases, John has successfully defended clients on claims of millions of dollars based on allegations of soil and groundwater contamination.  John has taken cases to trial across Louisiana, and has represented clients in arbitrations, mediations, and administrative proceedings before state agencies such as the Office of Conservation.

John grew up in Roanoke, Louisiana, and graduated from Welsh High School.
