Overview

Nicholas Simon is a New Orleans attorney who represents businesses in the energy and maritime industries. Nick handles onshore and offshore occupational injury cases as a member of the Product Liability, Class Action, and Toxic Tort Team.

Nick is involved in federal mass action litigation across the Gulf Coast. He has helped the team prepare for oral arguments and depositions. He has also contributed to the team’s appellate briefing. Nick has drafted successful pleadings, including motions to exclude expert witness testimony. He has deposed plaintiffs alleging workplace injuries. He has also helped investigate occupational injury claims and revise indemnity agreements.

Nick’s litigation practice includes analysis of expert witness testimony in fields such as medicine, environmental science, risk analysis, industrial hygiene, biochemistry, and epidemiology. He helps the team review expert reports, take and defend expert depositions, draft motions to exclude opposing experts, and prepare for oral arguments.

Nick earned his law degree from the University of Virginia School of Law. He clerked on the United States Senate Judiciary Committee.
