Overview
Michael Pluhowski is an associate in Liskow’s Maritime Group and represents clients in admiralty, maritime, and commercial litigation. A seasoned mariner and instructor, he brings firsthand knowledge of vessel operations and navigational best practices to his legal practice. While attending the United States Merchant Marine Academy, Michael worked in the deck department aboard a range of vessels, including car carriers, container ships, tugs, and dredges. He also holds U.S. Coast Guard Chief Mate Unlimited Tonnage and Master 1,600-Ton licenses.
Since 2019, Michael has served as a Navigation, Seamanship, and Shiphandling Instructor at the U.S. Navy’s Surface Warfare Officers School in Newport, Rhode Island. He is also commissioned as a Lieutenant Commander in the U.S. Navy Reserve’s Strategic Sealift Officer Force.
