Before joining Liskow, Liam spent several years working in the maritime industry as a professional sailor and vessel manager. In that role, he oversaw shipboard safety, logistics, and vessel operations while competing in high-stakes offshore ocean races, including the 2,500-mile Transpac from Los Angeles to Honolulu, the Pineapple Cup, and the Cabo Race.

Liam graduated cum laude from Tulane University School of Law, where he earned a Certificate in Maritime Law. While at Tulane, he served as President and Vice President of the Tulane Maritime Law Society and held dual editorial roles as Senior Business Editor and Notes & Comments Editor for the Tulane Maritime Law Journal. He completed his undergraduate studies magna cum laude at St. Mary’s College of Maryland, earning dual degrees in Economics and Public Policy. A four-year varsity sailor and two-year team co-captain, Liam was named a four-time Academic All-American and the 2019 College Sailing Sportsman of the Year.
