Spencer is an associate in the firm’s business group who focuses on mergers and acquisitions, commercial finance, private equity, and securities law. He represents clients in strategic and private equity M&A deals in a variety of industries primarily in the middle and lower markets. Spencer also represents financial institutions, mezzanine lenders, and businesses in commercial finance transactions, including syndicated credit facilities and asset-based lending. He advises businesses on corporate governance, entity formation, regulatory matters, and a wide range of general business transactions. Spencer provides broad support to the firm’s business group and has experience negotiating and drafting contracts, managing due diligence, and solving problems for clients with creativity and efficiency.
Spencer received his Juris Doctor from Tulane University Law School where he served as Managing Editor of the Tulane Law Review and received awards for academic excellence and writing. Before joining the firm, Spencer was a law clerk for United States District Judge Martin L. C. Feldman in the Eastern District of Louisiana.
