Penny Malbrew Selected to Join The National Black Lawyers Top 100
Penny Malbrew has been selected to join The National Black Lawyers’ Top 100, an organization that is dedicated to selecting successful and influential African American attorneys with reputations for providing clients with excellent legal representation. The NBL Top 100 recognizes and promotes the present contributions of African American lawyers and connects lawyers, locally and nationally, to share their knowledge with other members.
Penny is an environmental litigator at Liskow & Lewis focusing on defending oilfield legacy litigation and regulatory issues. She has experience at all phases of litigation and has served as assistant trial counsel in jury trials. In addition to legacy issues, Penny’s experience includes defending oil and gas companies in product liability suits and personal injury and property damage suits. Penny’s experience includes having served as in-house counsel at Stone Energy Corporation where she managed the company's litigation docket, advised on a wide variety of regulatory, environmental, and safety matters, negotiated contracts, and assisted with other corporate matters.
Penny is involved in state and national bar associations, and she is active in the Women’s Energy Network. She has been recognized by Acadiana Profile as a “Top Lawyer” in Environmental Law and Natural Resources Law in 2020 and by Super Lawyers as a “Rising Star” in Environmental Litigation. Penny serves on Liskow & Lewis’ Diversity Committee, playing a vital role in advancing Diversity, Equity and Inclusion within the firm.
