Liskow & Lewis Ranked in Chambers High Net Worth Guide for Private Wealth Law
Liskow & Lewis is pleased to announce its ranking in the 2019 edition of Chambers USA – High Net Worth Guide, a guide that ranks the top lawyers and law firms for private wealth law.
Rankings are decided following extensive market research and interviews with clients and peer attorneys. Chambers received the following feedback about the firm’s High Net Worth Practice: Liskow & Lewis "would be our go-to," says an interviewee. The team advises high net worth individuals and families, and closely held businesses, on the full range of trust and estate matters, including disputes. The group's non-contentious work includes assisting with business succession plans and representing clients with real estate and mineral interests. "They have a lot of estate and tax planning experience and have the transactional side too," says a source, who continues: "They have a good breadth of experience."
Shareholder Marguerite “Peggy” Adams was ranked in the top-tier for Private Wealth Law in the High Net Worth Guide. Peggy, a board-certified estate planning and administration specialist, is a Fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel. She advises clients about wills, trusts and estate planning, including the disposition of closely-held businesses, taxation of estates and other estate planning needs. In addition, she handles probate matters and represents trustees and corporate fiduciaries.
Peggy’s peers described her as a well-respected member of the Louisiana estate planning community in feedback given to Chambers. “She's fantastic, she's the smartest person in the room," observes an interviewee; "she knows it all. She is very experienced and knows how to explain things well." Another commentator says: "She's very thorough and creative, and gives good advice. I've referred people to her. She understands the law, relationships and client needs."
