Kelly T. Scalise was recently elected as Treasurer to the Younger Lawyers Division National Board of Directors for the Federal Bar Association. In 2009, Scalise served as Secretary of the YLD National Board of Directors for the FBA.

Members of the YLD represent almost one-fourth of the FBA's membership and the YLD National Board is composed of 15 members. It is the duty of each board member to manage programs and efforts designed to serve members of the YLD. The board members mission is to foster the development and continued vitality of local, chapter-based YLD's.

The YLD is a group of over 5,000 attorneys who are under the age of 37 or who have been practicing law for less than three years. Members of the YLD also include law student associate members. The Members of the YLD participate in a variety of social and educational events that assist in learning about and keeping in touch with the federal bench, federal law, and employment opportunities.
