Liskow & Lewis is pleased to announce that, effective October 24, 2016, Wilka V. Toppins joined the firm, and will serve client’s out of the Houston, Texas office. Ms. Toppins is not only well known in Houston’s legal community; she has been a longtime leader in advocating and advancing the opportunities inherent in diversity.
With more than 26 years of legal experience, Ms. Toppins’ practice focuses on advising international public and privately held companies as well as individual entrepreneurs on issues related to immigration, including providing turn-key assistance with the EB5 visa program.

Speaking about moving her practice to Liskow & Lewis, Ms. Toppins said, “My goal has always been to be part of a platform that provides unparalleled service to individuals and companies in need of our experience in the area of immigration. Ms. Toppins graduated with honors from Tulane University Law School in New Orleans, worked in-house with Exxon Company, USA and later, SBC Communications, was the first Latina to hold a corporate vice president position with Macy’s – serving as Vice President – Diversity – and has managed her own law practice in Houston for the past 12 years.
