Joe B. Norman Inducted as a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers

Joe B. Norman, a partner of Liskow & Lewis law firm, has become a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers, widely considered to be the premier professional organization composed of preeminent trial lawyers in the United States and Canada.

The induction ceremony took place March 2 during the Spring Meeting of the College in Fajardo, Puerto Rico. Norman was one of 81 new Fellows inducted bringing the organization’s membership to more than 5,700. 

Founded in 1950, the College is composed of the best of the trial bar from the United States and Canada. Fellowship in the College is limited to the top one percent of the total lawyer population of any state or province. Fellowship status is extended by invitation only, after careful investigation, to those experienced trial lawyers who have mastered the art of advocacy and whose professional careers have been marked by the highest standards of ethical conduct, professionalism, civility and collegiality. Lawyers must have a minimum of 15 years’ trial experience before they may be considered for Fellowship.

Norman, who serves as the head of the firm’s energy litigation section, joined the firm in 1978 following his graduation from Tulane Law School where he graduated Order of the Coif and served as a member of the Tulane Law Review.

Norman is the sixth Liskow & Lewis lawyer to be inducted as a Fellow of  the ACTL College.  His Fellow partners include Gene W. Lafitte, John M. Wilson, Donald R. Abaunza, S. Gene Fendler and George H. Robinson.
