Kelly Brechtel Becker • Shareholder, New OrleansMs. Becker's practice focuses on oil and gas litigation, including royalty, severance tax and federal and state regulatory matters. She litigates state and local taxation disputes, including matters before the Board of Tax Appeals. Ms. Becker also handles business litigation such as business torts and transactional disputes.
As part of Ms. Becker’s energy litigation work, she represents clients in exploration and production disputes, gas plant litigation, land ownership and expropriation litigation and landowner/mineral lessee disputes. She further has experience in Oil Well Lien Act litigation and oil and gas marketing disputes.
Ms. Becker, who is fluent in Spanish, earned her law degree from the Louisiana State University Law Center, where she was managing editor of the Louisiana Law Review.
